NYU Poly, Brooklyn, NY

As part of a Capital Plan, NYUPoly underwent a series of high-impact improvements at their facilities. Grimshaw Architects was the leading team for this “Special Project”: the renovation of the Rogers Hall (approx. 9,000 SF), including rethinking the ground floor main circulation, creating a media/communication wall, new seating arrangement for the existing cafe and a complete washroom renovations on multiple floors. While providing essential upgrades to their spaces, the team went beyond to bring a fresh look to their facilities in line with NYUPoly’s institutional plans.

Ximena was part of the Grimshaw Architects design team as an architectural designer responsible for drawings and specifications, space and furniture planning, contract documents, coordination with construction approval agencies, interpreting technical regulations, codes and standards.
