Pike Street – DEP Garage, NY

This project held a number of planning and design challenges due to the age of the building, its proximity to the Manhattan Bridge, the limited open area for development, and the complex programmatic and system requirements of DEP. Alongside the primary program as a vehicle storage garage and indoor fueling station the garage had shops for DEP equipment, support space for field labor, and administrative offices that required the facility to respond to indoor air quality and other environmental concerns to be designed for LEED certification.

Ximena was part of the Urbahn Architects design team as a project architect responsible for the project documentation from concept design through construction documents, coordination with and client presentations.
